Services

Preventive Oral Hygiene Instruction:

This includes proper brushing, flossing and eating habits, ideal fluoride levels and the use of pit and fissure sealants. We strive to provide a fun, educational environment where children learn about the importance of good dental hygiene.

Restorative Dentistry:

This includes children’s fillings and crowns, extractions, space maintainers, along with newer less invasive treatment options such as SDF, Glass Ionomer, and Hall Crown Technique. Each and every individualized treatment plan is designed with your specific child’s needs in mind taking into account restorative needs, cooperation level, and parent input. We are committed to discussing all options before these procedures and answering all questions you may have. As always, working for the goal of a healthy smile is our first priority.

Growth and Development

As pediatric dental specialists, Dr. Kate is an expert on the growth and development of children’s dentition, jaws and craniofacial structures.  An early growth and development evaluation may provide your child with a more positive experience should they need orthodontic treatment. We know that the early recognition and treatment of developing bite problems often minimizes later orthodontic needs.

Sedation Dentistry:

Sedation dentistry refers to the use of additional techniques or medications to help your child relax during dental treatment. Our office offers options such as nitrous oxide, or “laughing gas”, as well as IV sedation in office provided by a partnering advanced anesthesia team.

A consultation will help us determine which option is best for your child and their needs.

Special Needs Patients:

We treat individuals through adulthood with special health care needs. If you're the parent or guardian of someone with disabilities, you'll appreciate the support, skill and compassion found within our office. We can help put your child on the path of good oral health with a preventative dental care plan customized to fit your child's needs.

Emergency Treatment:

While our goal is to prevent dental emergencies, we understand that the need for urgent dental care is sometimes necessary and can be a stressful experience for both parents and children. We strive to handle dental emergencies promptly and with compassion. One of the benefits of being an established and current patient at Stanley Pediatric Dentistry is that we are always on call and you can reach our team any day, even when we are closed, by calling 913-345-0331 and following the prompts.
